Day 1: Welcome to San Cristóbal - Swim with Sea Lions at La Lobería
Your Galápagos adventure begins the moment you land on San Cristóbal, the easternmost island of the archipelago and home to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, the capital of Galápagos. At the airport you'll complete the entry formalities (Transit Control Card and National Park entrance fee) before being welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel in town.
After settling in and enjoying lunch, we head out to La Lobería, a wild stretch of coastline just a few minutes from the port. Here, sea lions doze on the sand while marine iguanas warm themselves on the black volcanic rocks — often within a few steps of the trail. The bay's calm, turquoise water is excellent for a first snorkel, with a good chance of swimming alongside sea turtles and colorful reef fish.
For those who prefer to stay dry, a short cliff-top trail leads to a lookout with sweeping views of the Pacific, where blue-footed boobies and frigatebirds ride the wind currents overhead. It's the perfect introduction to the extraordinary tameness of Galápagos wildlife.
We return to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno in the late afternoon, in time to watch the sunset from the malecón where the sea lions have claimed the benches as their own.

Day 2 : San Cristobal 360° Tour
Today we circumnavigate San Cristóbal by boat, following a spectacular coastline of towering cliffs and hidden coves reachable only by sea. The day includes two snorkeling stops one gentle, one deep so both beginners and experienced snorkelers get their moment in the water.
We make photography stops from the boat at Punta Pitt, the only place in Galápagos where all three booby species nest together, and at Cerro Brujo, a white coral sand beach at the foot of an eroded volcanic cone the same shore Charles Darwin walked in 1835.
Our first snorkel is at Playa Rosa, in shallow, sheltered water. Calm conditions and a sandy bottom make it ideal for first-timers and children, yet the wildlife is remarkable: rays, reef sharks, sea turtles and clouds of colorful fish.
The highlight is the second snorkel at León Dormido (Kicker Rock), a rock formation rising 150 meters from the ocean and split by a narrow channel. In deep blue water you may encounter hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, large rays and enormous schools of tropical fish one of the finest snorkeling sites in the archipelago.

Day 3– Highlands Tour: Giant Tortoises & El Junco Lagoon
Today we head inland to discover a completely different San Cristóbal — green, humid and forested, in contrast to the arid coast. Our first stop is El Junco Lagoon, one of the few permanent freshwater lakes in the Galápagos, set in the crater of an extinct volcano at 700 meters above sea level. A short walk around the rim offers sweeping views over the island and, on clear days, out to the ocean on both sides. Frigatebirds circle above, coming here to rinse the salt from their feathers.
We continue to La Galapaguera de Cerro Colorado, a breeding and conservation center where giant tortoises of the San Cristóbal species live in a protected natural setting. Shaded trails wind through native vegetation, and you'll see tortoises of every age — from hatchlings in the rearing pens to enormous adults grazing freely along the path.Nearby, Puerto Chino is a quiet white sand beach reached by a short trail through dry forest. It's a good spot to swim, rest and take in the coastline before returning to town.
We finish the day at the Interpretation Center in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, whose exhibits tell the story of the islands: their volcanic origin, the arrival of the first species, human settlement, and the conservation efforts that protect the archipelago today.

Day 4– Sea Lion Island (Isla Lobos): Snorkeling & Wildlife Tour
A short 30-minute navigation from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno brings us to Isla Lobos, a small islet separated from San Cristóbal by a narrow, protected channel. The name says it all: this is one of the largest sea lion colonies in the archipelago, and the animals here are famously curious.A short trail leads past resting sea lions and nesting blue-footed boobies, with great-frigatebirds gliding overhead and marine iguanas basking on the lava rock. The wildlife is remarkably close and completely unbothered by visitors — bring your camera. We then snorkel in the calm, shallow channel, where young sea lions often come to play, twisting and darting around swimmers. It's a gentle site, well suited to beginners, and you'll also see sea turtles, rays and colorful reef fish.
We return to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno around midday, with the rest of the afternoon free to relax on the beach or explore the town at your own pace.

Day 5 – Departure from San Cristobal
After breakfast, enjoy your last morning on the island. Depending on your flight time, there may be a chance for a final walk along the malecón, a coffee in town, or a last look at the sea lions sprawled across the pier.
At the appropriate time, your guide will transfer you to San Cristóbal Airport for your return flight to the mainland. Assistance with check-in and baggage is provided.
We say goodbye with the hope that you carry the Enchanted Islands with you and that this is not your last visit.

“My partner and I took an incredible trip through Ecuador that combined culture, nature, and adventure both on the mainland and in the Galápagos Islands. Everything was perfectly organized and exceeded our expectations every step of the way. Once in Galápagos, we joined a 5-day tour through Santa Cruz, Isabela, and Santa Fe, and it was simply magical”

“Pedro was a fantastic tour guide. I’d highly recommend booking this tour, it’s a combo of shared tours with a guide and a private tour. What’s even better is he acts as your have your own personal photographer and if you have dietary requirements this is perfect, since we don’t know the language Pedro handled everything.”

From the moment we arrived, everything felt easy and smooth. But what I really loved is that it didn’t feel like a structured tour. It felt more like traveling with friends, where someone else had already taken care of all the details. We just showed up, enjoyed, and lived in the moment.”

The water in the Galápagos Islands is so clear it almost feels unreal, and snorkeling there was simply incredible. Everything feels so pure and natural… you truly connect with the place.
I love penguins, and I really wanted to see them but I also knew it’s not always easy. And just when I wasn’t expecting it anymore, they appeared.”
